G4C Student Challenge

The National G4C Student Challenge Competition is Open for Submissions - Now Through April 8!

Calling all middle and high school game developers! The national Games for Change Student Challenge is officially open for submissions. Students have until April 8th to create and submit an original digital game for a chance to win awesome prizes and national recognition, including the chance to win a $10,000 scholarship generously provided by Take-Two Interactive, the video game developer responsible for NBA2K, etc.

Middle and high school students across the U.S. are challenged to create games about 3 important social impact themes:

• Shaping the World for Difference: Games that raise awareness about learning and thinking differences (in partnership with Understood)

• Sustainable Cities: Games about solutions to the climate crisis and ways we can make our homes, schools, and communities more resilient and sustainable (in partnership with NRDC [Natural Resources Defense Council])

• Voice of a New Generation: Games that demonstrate the importance of voting, propose solutions to make the process more accessible and encourage more young people to participate (in partnership with The New Georgia Project)

Competitors and games must satisfy the competition’s rules and eligibility guidelines. Games will be evaluated by panels of expert jurors from the video game industry. Competition winners will be announced and prizes awarded at the Awards Ceremony in June.
