Virtual Workshops
In The Cxnnect is a series of virtual networking events designed to bridge the gap between Esports, Gaming, and STEAM professionals and students and partners.
This series with Riot Games is taking you into the processes inside of the gaming industry, including music, player experiences, and more! Engage with Rioters as they explore their careers and responsibilities, and show you the various opportunities found in this diverse industry. Thank you to everyone who has joined all of the sessions so far! If you have attended and have not completed the exit survey, you can do so here! This workshop was hosted by Rioters Sam Garcia, Matt Kraus, and Christian Rafael. They provided an inside look into how to shape and share appealing and effective portfolios for game design, sound design, and concept art.

This workshop was hosted by Rioters Victoria Sanchez and J.D. Spears. J.D. provided an explorative look into the history and applications of video game music, and insight into the careers and skills involved in making iconic and immersive soundscapes.

This workshop was hosted by Rioter Seth Smith. Seth explained the principles and significance of player dynamics and the ways in which Riot is creating safe and rewarding online environments.

The Kickback - an entertainment, media, and educational platform streamed online with in-person event extensions that drive lasting change across the community as well as other underrepresented college and high school students. The Kickback takes place on October 12th 2023, starting at 10am.
